08/12: Once You Go Asian...
I have failed you lately by not providing enough hot photos to jerk off to and also by not providing any new links. I have also failed myself by not featuring one of the blogs I try to visit every day. Let these small failures end here and now.
Once You Go Asian is an endless source of beautiful Asian male photos, sweet and sometimes sentimental writing, and a nice glimpse into one guy's life and loves. It should probably also not go unmentioned the wit and wisdom behind the name Once You Go Asian. It is obviously a clever turn on the old classic, "once you go black, you never go back." Too often in our culture there is defensiveness, embarassment, and even shame associated with being attracted to Asian men. Being a white guy attracted to Asian men, I have felt and been made to feel (implicitly by gay media, and explicitly by gay friends and lovers) all of these at one point or another. And if you are not ashamed of being attracted to Asian men you are a fetishist — period. The thought of attributing a raw sexual attraction to an Asian guy is so far from the realm of possibility for most white guys that the idea is remarkable for how odd it is. The phrase "once you go Asian..." attributes the same amount of power and overwhelming experience to Asian sexuality that is usually marginalized, minimalized, and ignored. I think that through various blogs and websites nowadays that the image of gay Asian men will slowly start changing for the better. Perhaps even one day the phrase "It don't take no persuasion for me to go Asian" will hold just as much power.
